Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Senior Engineer - Mission Systems Division (MSD) in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.
This position is responsible for design and certification of electrical components (e.g. controllers) part of Aerospace systems.
The individual will be responsible for leading electrical/electronic activities for new product development including, analyzing requirements and assessing compliance, defining interfaces, reviewing component spec and de-rating, designing PCB/PWB, writing test and qualification plans, managing product design full life cycle management and providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and mentoring new engineers.
Additionally the individual will be responsible for supporting operation and field service teams with analysis and troubleshooting of legacy products.
A successful candidate will need knowledge and have prior experience of Aerospace product development process at system and subsystem levels. "
Responsible to execute full Hardware development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in Electrical/ Residential applications.
Required: B.E/B-Tech in Electronics/Industrial Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electrical & Electronics
7+ Years of experience in Electronics Hardware design & development, product V&V and certification
Verify design using simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, SIMetrix
Apply analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues.
Strong knowledge of EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances – UL /IEC / RoHS / REACH etc.
DO-178 & DO-254 working experience is preferred.
Hardware design knowledge for various Communication protocols like USB, SPI, I2C, wireless, High side drivers, Low side drivers, relay actuators, Position sensors , Hall effect sensors , Half Bridge , H bridge , Discrete gate drivers solutions
Create HSI (Hardware Software Interface) document. Coordinate with SW team to develop the system.
Collaborate with local / global suppliers for prototype developments, external labs for testing etc
Knowledge on Project Management with respect to Project planning, Risk Identification, Cross functional Team interaction e.g. Marketing, Manufacturing etc.
Good knowledge on PCB design guidelines for Active clocks , Oscillators, Gate driver, Thermal management, SI, high speed design & EMI/EMC.
Sound knowledge of electrical & electronic design especially in Low power electronics
Experience in Sensors, actuators selection and interface design, Telematics, RFID
Hands on experience on functional testing & debugging of any complex hardware.
Hands on experience in writing detailed test plan/procedures, Qualification test procedures.
Hands on experience on various testing’s for Conducted Emissions / Immunity, Radiated Emissions / Immunity, Environmental Testing
Good knowledge on PCB design guidelines
Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
