I would say, Yes.
The changing environment of social, political and career creating a lot of doubt among parents and they are imposing lots of pressure on their ward.
They don't have awareness of all the career consequences just handful information about particular career option tempt them and due to social and economic prestige temptation guide them to select the particular career.
